Lola Dueñas, actress in "Volver", the Spanish movie directed by Pedro Almodóvar and shown Thursday in the Dominican Global Film Festival, shared the most impressive aspects of working with the Spanish filmmaker his Oscar-nominated film.

Dueñas, who was enthusiastically received by those attending the UASD viewing, told how she prepared for the role of Sole, "I spent several afternoons in a salon to learn how to style hair, and I also went to La Mancha, Pedro’s hometown, to get to know his world".

Pedro Almodovar Director de VolverEsther Garcia, in turn, recommended to everyone in the audience that they try to work with a genius, "because Pedro is a genius, and it is a tremendous experience to work with him". The producer of "Volver", which is her twentieth film with Almodóvar, said that they had wanted to present the film in the Festival because they knew it would be a unique opportunity to further promote film. Joaquín Machado intervened on only one occasion to say that his experience working with Almodóvar had been very positive and that he would be pleased to work with him again.
