(Santo Domingo, Nov 15, 2012).- “All film projects should have an easy to remember email address,” said Dominican journalist and writer, José Rafael Sosa, at the Zero Cost Promotion workshop. The workshop, directed at independent directors and producers, was held on Thursday at the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) auditorium as part of the 6th Dominican Global Film Festival (FCGD).
Sosa, author of the annual date book, “Para Poder Vivir 2013” (How to Live 2013), talked about low cost and no-cost advertising communication, which all film projects should take advantage of, no matter how small they might seem. He insisted that media and social network sources not only help strengthen the film’s potential viewership but also get the names of the directors and cast known among audiences and keep them up to date.
He named several media outlets the require very little financial investments such as IMDB, and others that are essentially free, such as blogs, websites, emails with the name of the film project, social media networks and photographic sites, among other free social media outlets.
Sosa’s monthly calendar publication, “Para Poder Vivir 2013” (How to Live 2013), in circulation since 1988, is dedicated to Dominican film with a monthly events page for the various film activities and personalities.
