FILM SYNOPSIS:

Pluie d'Espoir is the story of a sugarcane cutter name Toussaint, whose dream was to seek a new situation in the Capital of Haiti (Port-au-Prince) After the closing of the plantation where he was working, he is forced to leave behind his wife and family, his native town to head to the big city (Port-au-Prince)

There, he encounters great danger and fortunately crosses great people in his path; mentors who will be responsible for his life turning around. He befriends a nurse who gives essence to his day-to-day life and an entrepreneur who pushes him to new heights.

Toussaint held on to his vision without ever giving up. He succeeds to return home triumphant and a rich entrepreneur.

Pluie d'Espoir is a movie based on the story of a young peasant named Toussaint from the Haitian Provinces. His instinct for survival is strong. He has come to Port-au-Prince not only to survive, but also to strive with dignity and achieve a place for himself, his family and the coworkers he left behind. On the road to his destiny, he encounters many obstacles. He learns about city life, modern inventions and technology. He develops relationships that bring joy and pain to his life. Pluie d'Espoir is a picturesque tale that will capture your heart and move you beyond words.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:

Jacques Roc

Jacques Roc the director/producer/composer of the movie (Pluie d'Espoir) is a three times triple treat director/Producer who wrote his first jingle for Grey Advertising at the age of 16. He later became the music director for Toy Eaton Music a leading music house in New York City and an executive producer at Lockhart & Pettus a leading advertising agency in New York.

His talent has helped him to Direct,Produce and compose over 200 jingles for major clients like Chrysler, Pfizer, Dark & Lovely, Greyhound, Baileys, Sprite and Cocacola, Pepsie, Mc Cormick; season salt and countless others.

Jacques Roc studied his filmmaking at the New York University and Music; composing and arranging at the Manhathan School of Music. Jacques Roc has produced over 250 television commercial in Haiti, full length documentaries called Face of Haiti and many mini documentaries and over 20 PSA's.
