    FILM SYNOPSIS
    Eleven-year-old Francesco is part of  The Sistine Chapel Choir pueri Cantorum. He is struggling with his parents’ divorce, but he has an unusual dream: to sing for the pope in the Sistine Chapel before he lose he’s child voice. The 81-year-old pope on the other hand,  has his own ambitions: To defend the traditions of the Catholic Church in today’s society. We follow both characters in their everyday activities while they attempt to realize their greatest dream. With heavenly choir singing as its soundtrack, this film offers a moving picture of the determination of a boy with a dream as well as an enlightening look at the hidden world of the Vatican.
    Director's Biography
    Ciro Cappellari is director, cinematographer and screenwriter since 1989. He received recognition for  “Sin Querer” “Cinema 100 Award” best Screenplay at Sundance and Best Film Award at Goteborg Film Festival. “Hijo del Río”, spezial Jury Preis at Festival Latino Americano diTrieste .  “A Struggle for Love,”, Grimme Award film of the yaer 2005. As a cinematographer he has worked in several films, „Schwarzfahrer“ (Oscar® 1994), The Blue Hour (Max-Ophüls Award ), Mein Name is Bach (Swiss Film Award 2003) and many others. Currently writing with Fernando Ureña Rib the screenplay for the feature film "Canción de Amor y Muerte.
